Lisa will be the first out trans member in the California legislature. Since 2017 Lisa has served as a Palm Springs City Councilmember, where she has helped improve local transportation and infrastructure, combat climate change, build more affordable housing, invest in public safety, and address the Coachella Valley’s homelessness crisis. Lisa comes from a family of union members and went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college and earn a Master’s in Public Administration.

For Arizona House of Representatives

Lorena Austin is a 5th generation Arizonan whose lifelong love for advocacy and leadership has been rooted in Mesa for almost a century. For over twenty years, Austin’s grandparents owned and operated Albert’s Market in Mesa, which served all residents including minorities residing in segregated neighborhoods. They are well known in Mesa for serving on community boards that advocated for equity and inclusion.

New York State Senate

Minita Sanghvi is a two-term Commissioner of Finance on the Saratoga Springs City Council in NY. She moved to the US in 2001 and has an under-grad in Accounting, an MBA, and PhD. After having worked in industry, she is now a tenured business professor.

She was the first LGBTQ+ member on the Saratoga Springs City Council. Since getting into office she has funded a critical third EMS/Fire station, and a 24/7 low barrier homeless shelter. She has added more sidewalks, parks and playgrounds for the community, while maintaining AA+ credit rating for the city. Minita is now running for NY State Senate District 44. She wants to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, ensure towns get infrastructure dollars to maintain roads and bridges, and supports women’s access to health care and LGBTQ+ rights.

San Diego County Board of Supervisors

Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer is an economist, attorney, grassroots organizer, and educator fighting for bold changes to the status quo in San Diego County. A third-generation San Diegan, Terra previously served as Senior Advisor in the Obama Administration. Decades of inaction on our County Board inspired Terra to bring her track record and expertise to elected office and shake up the legacy of failed leadership in our region.

Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council (KY)

Emma Curtis is a lifelong Kentuckian. Her campaign is focused on improving traffic flow and safety on Nicholasville Road, addressing Lexington’s affordable housing crisis, and increasing accessibility and transparency in local government.

Emma has worked as an independent filmmaker, an issue- based organizer, and an advocate focused on increasing civic engagement, voter registration, and fairness for all Kentuckians.

Whether registering Lexingtonians to vote through her work as a voter engagement organizer at Kentuckians for the Commonwealth or volunteering with organizations like the ACLU of Kentucky and the Fairness Campaign, Emma has demonstrated a relentless commitment to building a better future for her community and her commonwealth.

For Iowa State House of Representatives

For the past eight years she has served on the Hiawatha City Council. Aime was the first openly trans woman elected to government in Iowa and will be the first trans person elected to the Iowa state legislature. Amy will stand against the many anti-trans bills proposed in the Iowa Legislature, such as a ban on gender-affirming care for transgender Iowans under age 18 and a “bathroom bill” ban on transgender Iowans using school bathrooms or locker rooms corresponding with their gender identity.

With a background in financial services and advocacy for small businesses, Ashley brings a unique perspective and dedication to serving the people of Florida. Through leadership roles in various organizations and her unwavering commitment to social progress, Ashley aims to create a more equitable and prosperous future for all Floridians. Ashley credits her success to those closest to her for providing actionable allyship, notably her 2 teenage sons, Bryce and Blake. She has had numerous recognitions for her work including an award from the Governor of Florida for driving empowerment of people.
